Lotta Lundberg works with sculptures in both clay and bronze. The process is often intuitive, challenging and provoking her inner self to find the inscrutable dualism that we humans constantly live with. What are we to ourselves, and how are we perceived by others?

Her work evokes thoughts such as, "How do I see myself in relation to what is happening in my surroundings?" When she works, she strives to create pieces that resonate deeply with the viewer.

"I want the observer to experience emotions that can be both enlightening and healing. We are born with two basic emotions, love and fear. How we develop our self-esteem and self-confidence shapes us throughout life. My sculptures are meant to provoke, with humor and self-distance being central."

Lotta's fascination with humans has always been the foundation of her artistry. There are many unique experiences and endless stories to be inspired by. All these conversations with different people hover like small stories in her mind, and eventually, they can manifest in an artistic expression.

"I wish for my sculptures to capture the essence of human experience and energy. My work reflects my inner passion, which is about seeing the whole person, where I spice up the story with my humor and the importance of daring to have self-distance."

She has traveled all over the world, is a Buddhist, and has extensive experience working with people in crisis. Her dedication to meditation for over 40 years has given her a deeper understanding of herself and the world. Through her art, Lotta reminds people of the inner and outer beauty and complexity in their own lives and the world around them.
